Chapel Hill hosts festivals every season. The Light Up Festival celebrates Chinese New Year in February with authentic cuisine, crafts, and dragon dances, and at twilight, a lantern parade sweeps through Chapel Hill. The Carrboro Music Festival is a long-standing live music event that takes place in the fall in nearby Downtown Carrboro. During the warm months, The Carolina Inn hosts Fridays on the Front Porch, a series of outdoor concerts from April through October. Efland Ruritan Club’s annual rodeo is a long-standing tradition in Chapel Hill. With bull riding, broncos, and barrel-racing, the whole family can enjoy this adrenaline-fueled event.
